The Position

SAP Implement - Data Specialist

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The transfer to a new ERP system requires intensive work on data, therefore, the data specialist will be in charge of supporting Finance, Purchasing, Logistic and Operations to prepare/complete/enrich their master data to feed the new ERP. 

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate the data preparation across the 4 business streams in line with the streams leader and key stakeholders

  • Support each streams when needed to extract, clean and prepare the data for an easy upload to the new ERP

  • Promote data accuracy and run data reliability control check.

  • Perform data analysis on large complex set of data to extract valuable information that will help end users to take data driven decisions

  • Manage and transfer the knowledge through documentation and presentations (training, workshops, seminars, posts)

  • Ensure that current and new development tools are in line with Imerys standard practices and tools

  • Improve in-house data collection procedure and propose improvements including
    automatization of manual task through databases connections

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
 

Education:

  • Degree in Engineering school with experience in data science, or in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Operation research, Physics

Experience:

  • Ideally 3 years professional experience in data science, with proven achievements in data science projects, from the business case selection phase, through the prototyping and implementation of the models

  • Newly graduated candidate will be consider case by case

Languages:

  • English:  Oral and written communication skills is mandatory

Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics

  • Analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyse, and interpret large data sets 

  • Highly capable of using Google Suite tools (Gsheet, Datastudio, BigQuery, Google App Script)

  • Self starter, autonomous and assertive

  • Able to analyse data consolidation processes to propose improvements

  • Ability to interact with internal customers and other departments to create data management tools that will ease daily operations

  • Give attention to details, patient and customer oriented

  • Teaching skills – ability to explain simply even complex matters

  • Good communication skills
