Job Summary

Role overview

Imerys Group Purchasing department is a global organization managing around 4BUSD/year. Within this organization the Indirect Purchasing Direction is managing all purchases related to general supplies and services. 

In the framework of SAP4Hana implementation, the “Headquarters Purchasing Specialist” position is created to perform actions related to tactical buying from 2KEuros to 20KEuros.

The headquarters purchasing specialist will ensure purchasing compliance follow-up in various aspects : supplier onboarding and creation; spot contracts administration and follow-up; He/She will work closely with the indirect purchasing team, especially the category managers, the Offices internal requesters & the Procurement hub officers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • As per Opera core model, act as purchasing manager/local purchaser for purchases orders approval from 2KEuros to 20KEuros. 

  • Make sure approvals are given based on evidence of purchasing policy respect (competitive bid; GTC’s; payment terms;Ecovadis….)

  • Gather all evidences from requesters.

  • Through Ivalua and interaction with category managers, identify the relevant purchase request; identify if there is any existing agreements for similar scope.

  • Answer to VIM requests.

  • Perform spot buy activities for all requests below 20K€. To do so install some routines with identified functions. Report associated cost savings.

  • Follow-up contracts and anticipate any renewal, termination Create and maintain contract database in Ivalua.

  • Identify possibilities to reference suppliers in order to put in place catalogues in Ivalua (framework agreements).

  • Follow-up Ecovadis onboarding.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc in Business Studies 

  • Minimum 2 to 4  years’ experience in procurement 

  • Appetite for process follow-up and negotiation

  • English : Fluent

  • French is a plus

  • Good analytical skills

  • Good knowledge of : SAP4Hana; Basware (invoice module);G Suite
