The Position

Group Talent Director

Job Summary

Role overview:

The Director of Talent designs and drives organization-wide talent management and development initiatives in all parts of the talent management cycle (talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, learning, succession planning), aligned with the organizational objectives,  in close collaboration with all key internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Talent Acquisition: Own the full TA life cycle globally. Design and implement talent solutions to meet the current and future business needs.

  • Oversee global talent acquisition efforts, performance on recruitment KPIs and contribute to the Group’s employer branding 

  • Lead with data driven insights of hiring trends, sourcing channels, industries, and markets.

  • Performance Management: Oversee the development and implementation of effective performance management processes, providing guidance to the HR community, managers, and employees to drive individual and organizational success.

  • Succession Planning: Coordinate and lead the talent identification and succession planning processes of the Group, ensuring an efficient and seamless consolidation of group results to identify main action areas.

  • Evolve talent identification and succession practices to increase data-driven methodology and leverage technology.

  • Learning and Development: Design and implement comprehensive learning and development programs that enhance employees' skills and support career growth.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, utilizing the Learning Management System, Training Management portal and other HRIS platforms to enhance data analytics and user experience.

  • Oversee coaching practices and partnerships.

  • Global HR Policies: as a member of the Reward & Talent Center of Expertise, sets, reviews and validates the respective Talent group HR policies, and makes sure that roles and responsibilities are clear among the HR community.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in Talent or in a similar leadership role within a global organization.

  • In-depth knowledge of talent management, learning and development, and HR best practices.

  • Overall HR experience of 10 years ideally in an international environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

  • Fluent in English.

Skills & Person Specification

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align talent initiatives with organizational goals.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with attention to detail.

  • Good presentation skills and ability to present information in front of different audiences

  • Manage projects in strong collaboration with technical and functional stakeholders (HRIS team, Compensation team, HR Business Partners)

  • Strong drive for results matched with relationship building skills to manage talent projects in a complex, matrixed environment. 

  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills; keen attention to detail; the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • A keen interest in the mining and upstream industries and a strong conviction that those industries can contribute to the current sustainability challenges the world is facing.

The role is in a hybrid working environment with some days physical presence at the office and some remote. The role requires a traveling time of approx. 1 week every 1.5 months.
