Marketing Manager- Filtration & Life Science APACJob Summary
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Reporting to the Business Director of Filtration & Life Science APAC, the Marketing Manager supports the Filtration and Life Sciences APAC team, helping to ensure global alignment and strategy implementation, in order to anticipate market and customers needs, to ensure business plan targets are achieved.
To succeed, they will need to :
Collaborate across the entire commercial team; sales, technical support, S&T, S&OP, Customer Service…etc. to uncover insights and strategies to develop and implement for new and existing products, internally and externally
Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and customers trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for commercial teams
Creating a comprehensive picture of the market structure in your related scope: products, competition per country, sub-segments especially for life science
Developing a strategy for the concerning market filtration and life sciences
Propose / support appropriate business development solutions (Organic, NPD,BD, CAPEX, etc.)
Contributing to strategic initiatives & projects

Revenue Management; Volumes,revenues, price effect, gross margins etc
Customer Centricity; voice of customers, customer literature, trade shows
New Business Generation; new products, new customers, cross sell etc
Business Analysis: Market segment analysis, commercial data analysis etc
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business intelligence
Develop, structure and maintain a clear and sound understanding of the market structure in his/her related field, with precise inputs on the competition (financials, positioning, strategy etc)
Take initiative to bridge gaps in market understanding (internal research, external support etc.)
Be the referent in understanding the market dynamics: among competitors and among customers
Understand the segment and ensure to adapt Imerys answering customer needs
Monitor price policy and execute price decisions.
Support External Communication in production of sales enablers , impacting tools and participation in trade show, market events. Together with communication, propose adapted Branding Policy in line with customer segmentation
Strategic Development
Structure a multi-mineral product / solution offering with a clear and quantified value proposition for each of our products offered to the market as well as establish and justify a recommended price range based on market strategy, value proposition and competitive dynamics
Analyse potential development opportunities within an application segment, propose key actions in order to develop this opportunity cost effectively (Organic, NPD, CAPEX, BD etc.)
Take part in a project team to enforce new project development by providing the key inputs necessary to build a Business Plan (growth, volume, price range etc.)
Define the product mix (product, price, package, positioning, promotion), ensuring a common understanding of all relevant information to guide the market introduction, sales development, and share it within the organisation
Collect and analyse the information regarding the adoption rate / perception / product performance of new products by customers through the business network, and identify corrective/ reinforcement measures if necessary
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor or master degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or Marketing related field
Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of equivalent work-related experience in mineral or industrial marketing
Commercial Excellence
Filtration, personal care, health & pharma background are preferred.
MBA is a plus
Skills:
Marketing and technical understanding of Filtration & Life Science applications
Ability to understand/determine a strategy and follow the appropriate steps to achieve it
Business acumen and insight to interact effectively with people from all backgrounds and levels, and to influence others
Able to select appropriate internal and external information and turn conclusion into action plans
Strategic approach of projects; long time goal understanding
Collaborative style
good analytical and critical thinking with strong communication and presentation skills
