The Position
General Ledger AccountantJob Summary
Job Purpose
The position will be part of the "Netting & IC" process team responsible for the management and reconciliation of the intercompany transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting according to group policies.
Responsibilities and Duties
Preparation and posting of manual journal entries ( accruals, reclasses, netting)
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of intercompany accounts to ensure all balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly
Work closely with finance teams across various departments and international offices to gather necessary financial data, facilitate transactions, and resolve discrepancies
Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring that intercompany transactions are accurately reflected in the company’s financial reports
Participate in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Ensure all intercompany transactions comply with company policies
Preparation of the controls for the assigned entities
Support at ad hoc request from CAR
Preparation of BS reconciliation according to the group policy
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
3-5 years of relevant experience in SSC
Experience with SAP S4 Hana
Fluent in English
Conversant in French, German, Italian or any other European language is a plus
Desirable
Experience of working within strict deadlines
