Accounts Payable Operational Performance Team Lead

Job Summary

Job Purpose

Provides effective monitoring of the Accounts Payable Stream performance through KPIs and dashboards and seeks for applicable solutions that can improve the overall productivity. Leads a large team of 10+ accountants and AP Supporting Tool Admins who provide services to specific legal entities across EMEA and NA BAs.

Reporting line : The role reports to the SSC Accounts Payable Manager

Responsibilities

  • Introduces and implements best practices, processes, systems and KPIs applied in Shared Service Centers in order to ensure the provision of best in class service and to monitor performance in the optimal way

  • Is responsible for the quality of services provided by the Accounts Payables team to key customers both internal and external (Suppliers, Employees, Senior Management, Regulatory Bodies, etc.)

  • Ensures AP supporting Tools stability and performance as well as drive improvement and enhance the Tools and the Processes

  • Coordinates and collaborates with multiple cross functional counterparts (P2P, Business, IT, SSC) on issue resolution, enhancement projects and processes

  • Ensures compliance with accounting principles, standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as well as all relevant tax and statutory legislation

  • Leads a large team, coaching and motivating them to achieve maximum performance

  • Encourages team development and drives the succession plan to ensure a continuous pipeline of talents 

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. 

  • Fluent English speaker (C1/C2) 

  • Minimum 10 yrs experience in Accounting, where at least 7 in Accounts Payable and another 3 yrs in a Lead/Supervisor role in a Shared Services Center/Global Business Services

  • Good understanding of technical aspects in SSC AP (network principles, interoperability of tools, administration consoles)
