Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Reporting to the Market VP, the Business Analyst is the business partner to the whole Refractory Producers commercial team : Market VP, Sales & Marketing & Technical support teams. 

 

She/He supports and provides inputs to the Commercial team to ensure the alignment of the Group strategy and the sales performance, and to deliver the business targets and customer satisfaction. She/He ensures the quality of master data in key systems. 

The Refractory Market produces the broadest portfolio of materials for thermal resistance used in the production of refractory products globally, setting the benchmark across alumina, aluminosilicates and specialty binders in terms of quality, reliability and service.
It is composed of 3 sub-segments: Refractory,Advanced Ceramics & Investment Casting.

 

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business support

  • Run monthly sales & marketing analysis highlight points of attention and propose actions for improvement.

  • Produce monthly Sales KPIs: volume, price, mix analysis, Order book, etc.

  • Support commercial roadmap and contribute to key business projects for the market

  • Analyze competitors and market performance, client / product profitability, ...

  • Measure, analyze, give recommendations for complex business cases requested

 

Reporting

  • Produce sales reporting to build pre-flash, sales huddles, quarterly/budget presentations, 5 year plans and other requests

  • Provide past, actuals as well as predictive analysis to support sales forecasting

  • Accountable for the forecast process and accuracy for the segment, in cooperation with demand planning and sales team, and provide insights and outlier analysis

  • Support the sales incentive programs : Sales incentive plan set up and calculation as well as any Sales Campaign process & evaluation

  • Cooperate with other Business Analysts and Financial Controllers to harmonize reportings & processes

 

Data processing 

  • Manage periodic data management for instance to make sure that the right sales data is extracted from the respective ERPs

  • Participate to the automatization projects of data management recurring tasks & help to resolve data quality problems 

  • Ad hoc support Business intelligence & Data Management Support : market segmentation, customer allocation, key account in the Business Intelligence too

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (Finance, Economics or related disciplines) with minimum of 3+ years of equivalent work-related experience in business analysis. Strategy experience is an added advantage.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

  • Able to build strong collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Practical experience in data management 

  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentation

  • Advocate for data integrity

  • Strategic thinking and Financial competencies

  • Must be client focused, and have good problem solving & decision-making skills.

  • High level of attention to detail and follow through

  • Strong time management skills, agility, adaptability to changes & reactivity are absolute must

  • Team player: Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Willingness to learn

  • Advanced skills in Excel and  Google Workspace (Google sheets, Slides, Drive, Datastudio)Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite / Google sheet

  • Able to quickly master CRM (such as Sales Force), ERP (such as SAP), Business Intelligence tools and other data tools

  • Database management skills would be a plus

  • English: fluent (international environnement)

  • Up to 15% travel
