The Position

Operational Project Management & Planning Engineer

Job Summary

Job Purpose

The person is responsible to update and maintain the operational planning model to support finance, operations and S & OP functions. Additional responsibilities include support of the mine planning function as well as leading and supporting mining projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support forecasting and S&OP functions: Analyze and consolidate Sales forecast updates, pinpoint potential problems and/or inefficiencies to support Sales & Operations meetings

  • Maintain and review the operational planning model: Update and maintain the operational planning model, revise the model assumptions according to current performance

  • Collate & consolidate operational data: Gather and consolidate the operational production data on a monthly basis

  • Lead, develop and support mining projects: Support the mining department with current mining projects. Look for improvement opportunities and organize projects to tackle them

  • Support mine planning and design: Support the mine planning function in cooperation with the mining department. Update current mine plan as needed according to shifting conditions & priorities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology or a related field

  • 2-3 years of working experience in operations

  • Fluent or native English speaker

  • Advanced knowledge of Gsuite

  • Experience in Surpac & Leapfrog Geo

  • Experience in project management

  • Experience in resource analysis

  • Experience in SAP is a plus
