The Position

Marketing Communications Manager

Job Summary

Are you a Marketing Communications Manager looking for an opportunity with a global company?  Are you strategic and results driven, yet willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done?

 

Imerys has an immediate opening for a Marketing Communications Manager to collaborate with Sr. Business Leaders to develop and deliver Marketing Communications initiatives in an organization that is re-imagining its marketing strategy. This role will be consultative in nature, thus strong interpersonal, presentation and collaboration skills are required.

 

A day in the life could include:

  • Create and manage Marketing Communications Plans in support of business goals across segments including: Ceramics, Building Products, Filtration, Life Sciences, Paper, Polymers and Catalysts

  • Develop and execute Marketing Communications Programs and Campaigns in collaboration with business and marketing leaders, targeting North and South American markets

  • Plan, write and manage the design and production of sales tools, including collateral, presentations, case studies and trade articles

  • Lead the development and execution of all trade shows and customer events

  • Be a proactive force in bringing forward Marketing Communications best practices to address sales and marketing challenges; be a champion for the function

  • Act as a steward of the company’s corporate brand guidelines and communication strategies

  • Oversee all production elements for communications activities, managing vendors, contractors and budgets as needed (creative process, printing, content development etc.)

  • Implement measures and metrics to gauge program effectiveness.

  • Demonstrate the ability and flexibility to support the business through short term projects that surface throughout the course of general activities

  • Drive unique, innovative and creative approaches that will continue to evolve our marketing communications campaigns and activities

  • Exceptional copywriting, editing and content development skills.

  • Proven ability to articulate a customer-focused value proposition in support of B2B sales.

  • Strong written, oral and personal presentation skills; ability to adapt to and engage different internal and external audiences; comfortable coaching others through the communications process.

  • Proven project management abilities; able to manage multiple work streams in parallel. Responsible, flexible, responsive, collaborative.

  • Quality focused with a strong attention to detail.

 

 

What you will need:

 

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field

  • At least 10  years progressive experience overseeing B2B marketing communications programs or campaigns

  • Creative communications strategy development and execution experience

  • Product storytelling ability with strong skills in the ideation and development of compelling thought leadership in a variety of formats

  • Ability to define messaging and communications for varied markets/marketplaces; global experience a plus

  • Self-starter, creative, strategic thinker; operationally focused and results driven

  • Strong leadership, management, administrative and supervisory skills and demonstrated ability to manage budgets, projects, and people
