The Position

Calderys - Process Engineer

Job Summary

Responsibilities

Develop and define production and industrial standards,

Quantify and communicate process technology to management, production, maintenance, administrative, and plant personnel,

Experience capitalization and process documentation,

Supervise and perform plant trials,

Directly participate in the commissioning of process technologies,

Support actively the industrial performance and continuous improvement activities,

Implementation (or support in implementation) of determined projects onsite,

Provide support on Safety issues and initiatives,

Share and communicate on Division best practices,

Liaise with the BU/Division teams according to the different topics.

Lead implementation of OPEX continuous improvement initiatives and plan future improvements,

Require to design within the engineering discipline, engineering feasibility studies, economic analysis of projects, basic engineering plans, cost estimates & specifications, evaluation and selection of equipment and materials,

Develop solutions to problems. Find & implement ideas to improve the profitability of various processing units,

Identify problems related to routine work & determine solutions within scope of prescribed methodology,

Assist in estimating materials, time & cost of projects,

Assist in evaluation & selection of equipment & materials,

Assist in driving plant productivity using established methods along with fundamental engineering principles,

Productivity improvements with focus on yield improvements, operating efficiency improvements, and product quality improvements,

Responsible for preparing financial analyses of each process improvement to determine the impact to the business and the project priority,

Provide support on quality topics, define and implement best practices,

Together with the plant management team, ensure key priorities and designed action plan are properly implemented on site,

Make sure goals are set to our highest standards, that results are achieved on time and that actions put in place are sustainable,

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Educational Background and required skills

Engineering degree: Msc in industrial or mechanical

Extra degree in finance controlling or business management would be a plus

Demonstrated analytical & technical skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities

Problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Autonomous and self-starter

Thorough and to the point

Ability to work well in a team environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to maintain the highest standard of integrity

Full professional proficiency in English
