Mission

Calderys offers expert knowledge in the refractory industry and works through innovative customer dialogue and consultation on installation and installation technology. Our technical staff is well-trained and have the general and customer-specific skills required in order to offer the best installation solutions. The execution department is responsible for all installation activities of Calderys products at our customers' production sites. As Installation Manager, you are responsible for planning, managing and developing the operations within the installation team.

Responsibilities

  • Planning: As Installation Manager, you are responsible for planning, managing and developing the operations within installation. Responsible for the company's staffing planning, including its staff
  • Project management: Projects are conducted in close dialogue with the sales organization and with the department’s Supervisors, Project Managers, Project coordinators, Safety department and support staff. You will implement applicable agreements according to the company’s guidelines.
  • People management: Seasonally (May-October), the organization consist out of a big group of contracted/temporary employees. This group can consist out of 300 people. You will be responsible for meeting the technical competence of the installation team and – where applicable – contracted/project employees, so that they carry out the ordered work on customer workplaces in the most optimal and professional manner.
  • Team development: You will act as coach / team leader with the ultimate responsibility for the work within the installation team. If needed training efforts for the installation team are being made, also for preventive purposes. This means being on site at the customer workplace to monitor and correct if necessary.
  • Union relationship: In the follow up on collective agreements with the union for installation personnel you play a key role. You have the ultimate responsibility for the certification and release of the company's timelines for salary payment for both permanent contracted/ temporary employed installation employees.
  • Management Team: Active participation in the Project Execution Management team Sweden.

Profile / Competences

  • University qualification in Engineering or any other relevant knowledge in the construction industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in staff planning and implementation, preferably in refractory or equivalent like construction and installation
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Independent people manager with a solution focused and inventive mind-set
  • Clearly articulates own viewpoint and listen/consider other views
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate and monitor results
  • Tackle difficult conversation or decisions in the right way
  • Experienced in dealing with collective agreements and unions
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English (verbally as well as in writing)
  • Good knowledge in the Microsoft Office Package
  • Available for travel in Sweden for customer and site visits
