The Position

Quality Laboratory Technician Intern

Job Summary

IMERYS, is the Global Leader in Mineral-based specialty solutions for industry. IMERYS transforms a unique range of minerals to deliver essential functions that are essential to its customers’ products and manufacturing processes.

POSITION:  Quality Laboratory Technician

DURATION:  Temporary

LOCATION:  Cincinnati, OH

REPORTS TO:  Plant Manager US

HOURS: 32 to 40 hours per week; Flexible hours

DESIRED DEGREE: In Progress; or Quality Lab Experience

SCOPE: Primary testing and analysis of minerals used in the foundry industry for bonding technology.

• Testing used in the evaluation of minerals using laboratory testing equipment.
• Evaluate product quality compared to acceptable quality parameters.
• Collect the resulting information in an excel format and generate quality certificates / data for customers and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Ability to read and follow procedures related to quality testing
• Ability to analyze and compare quality data
• Competent PC skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Docs
• Ability to perform basic to intermediate math functions

EDUCATION

• Bachelor of Science in Materials Science, Engineering or physical chemistry (preferable).
