The Position

Workday Core HR Specialist

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Imerys has implemented the following modules and is continuously improving the corresponding functionalities: Core HR, Performance, Talent, Core and Advanced Compensation, Security, Integrations, Recruiting, Reporting. 

The Global Workday Team, led by the Group HRIS Manager is a Corporate HR Department whose members are located in Europe, Asia and Americas.  

Member of the Global Workday Team , the Workday Specialist is  in charge of :

  • Providing assistance to the corresponding  Workday HR end-users

  • Implementing agreed new Workday functionalities

  • Supporting the HR community in designing and testing functionalities

  • Performing day-to-day support relating to the Global  Workday Application

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the services delivered by the Workday Support Team

  • Supporting the HR Process owners  and the Workday Training Manager in designing training materials

  • Delivering training sessions to the HR community  in English and/or other languages

The primary area of Responsibility of the Workday Core HR Specialist is of course Workday Core HCM, but the corresponding applicant should be willing to grow on ( or to learn)  additional Workday modules (especially the Recruiting one), and be ready to contribute to the implementation of new modules from 2020 onward.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This HRIS Specialist should: 

  • Daily Support activities:

    • Process the issues raised by the end users according to the agreed procedure

    • Provide ad’hoc assistance to the identified HR Key users to continuously improve their knowledge

    • Process the requests raised by the Key users ( Security role assignment, Specific data loads, update the core set-up configuration) in compliance with the existing procedures)

  • Projects:

    • Support the Global Functional leads during the Design phase (accuracy of the requirements, consistency of the design against the existing configuration, …)

    • Translate business needs into configuration changes , create documentation and bring in other technology owners as impacts are identified 

    • Write test scripts; complete functional testing and sign off configurations, reports and integrations before they are moved to production

  • Communication/Training:

    • Identify and propose Communication actions to the network of HR User or the full community  of Workday Users

    • Build End-User guides (relating to a specific project  or to identified needs from the End-users)

  •  Strategy:

    • Proposing initiatives for rolling-out additional Workday functionalities 

    • Participating actively in the global Workday community to suggest and support ideas of improvements and anticipate software changes

MAIN REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Good knowledge and expertise in the administration of an HR information systems (ideally Workday) either as a Workday Consultant and/or as Champion HR End-User in an International company

  • Good knowledge of HR Processes

  • Proficiency in English Language

  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing

  • Ability to learn quickly new HRIS topics

  • Ability to transfer knowledge to his peers and/or to the HR community

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and in database management solutions 

  • Strong customer service, ability to work collaboratively and interface with all levels within the organization

  • Ability to identify areas of improvement  relating t to the quality of services of the an HRIS Support Team

  • Rigorous in applying agreed procedures

  • Ability to efficiently work with Contacts located in multiple time zones.
