The Position

Reliability/Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

  • Experience in the area of Design for Reliability (DfR) as applied to large capital projects

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Certification

  • Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Spare Parts Review

  • Creating and maintaining an asset Bill of Materials

  • Computerized Management Maintenance Systems (SAP)

  • Two (2) years’ experience in supporting relevant manufacturing or processing (aseptic/sterile, bulk, solid oral dosage, packaging, utilities etc.)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of High Performing Organization tools and methodology, including Lean Six Sigma Methodology (Green Belt certification)

  • Demonstrated experience of interacting with site, divisional or regulatory audits

  • Working knowledge of cGMP for pharmaceutical and/or vaccine manufacturing

  • Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Minerals Processing Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years experience in an Engineering role within maintenance or operations.

  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems; 

  • Industry background in manufacturing related to mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants, etc. Lime and cement experience is preferred.

  • Qualified candidates will exhibit a positive and proactive attitude with high initiative and the ability to perform with minimal supervision.

  • Able and willing to spend the majority of time in the plant with the operators, maintenance personnel, and contractors; able to communicate production and process plans effectively;

  • Able to travel to other sites and regions as needed;

  • Good technical aptitude and analytical skills;

  • Detail and process oriented with strong problem resolution abilities;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Must be able to support a continuous improvement environment as well as support change management initiatives;

  • Demonstrable teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic

  • Fluency in spoken and written English
