The Position

Compensation Manager

Job Summary

Based at our headquarters in Roswell, GA, the Compensation Manager will report to the Director of Compensation & Benefits and will be responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, policies, and procedures in alignment with the market and with Imerys’ compensation philosophy. This role will provide compensation consulting support to our business partners and lead major annual compensation projects and processes. In addition, this position will be responsible for immigration/expatriate administration as well as relocation and other HR support programs.  This position has one direct report.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for providing consulting to HR business partners across the business segments with respect to all compensation matters including base salary, retention and promotion in support of business objectives
  • Provide the Talent Acquisition and HR team with market data for new positions
  • Participate in market data surveys and conduct benchmarking exercises. Track compensation benchmarking data; participate in and analyzes salary surveys and other information sources to ensure a competitive compensation structure.
  • Pro-actively perform salary research and ensure wages are in line with market analysis focusing on key/hard to fill/high turnover positions
  • Lead annual compensation projects such as merit review, promotions, and bonus from design through execution, including detailed project planning, communication planning, risk analysis and execution through cross team collaboration
  • Review market data to assess competitive positioning on cash, incentive and equity and provide compensation recommendations for new hires and promotions
  • Ensure compliance of all compensation programs with federal and state regulations; conducts periodic audits of salaries to identify any potential problems or non-compliance issues.
  • Support and improve compensation related processes and programs through data creation, analytics, modeling, reporting and auditing across the organization
  • Audit internal processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in Sales Compensation and Executive Compensation program design and analysis
  • Administer Long Term Incentive Program for Senior Leadership
  • Responsible for immigration & expatriate administration
  • Responsible for relocation program and administration
  • Will support M&A activity with respect to Compensation matters/analysis as necessary
  • Support of other programs such as service awards

Education/Experience Requirements:

-B.S., HR or related field plus 6 years related experience in a multi-national environment

-CCP or CMS (or equivalent) preferred

-Immigration/expat/mobility experience preferred

-M&A experience a plus

-10% travel (domestic/international)
