POSITION:  Truck Load Out Operator (non-exempt, hourly); Cincinnati, OH

STATUS:  Full-Time, Permanent

WORK SHIFT: 2nd (3:30pm-12am)

REPORTS TO:  Plant Manager

JOB SUMMARY: 

The position is to load the trailers with the finished products by using the company’s terminal truck (yard dog).  The Truck Load out Operator will be responsible for loading the trailers from the different silos in a timely manner. Maintain the load out office and truck scale area clean. Coordinate the loading sequence with the Plant Operator to minimize down times and complete all the transportation documents correctly.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate company truck to facilitate shipping and receiving operation of bulk good. Driving skills are necessary, however no CDL is required.
• Operate forklift
• Move bags of raw materials.
• Maintain supplies of materials
• Housekeeping; clears out trash boxes and waste and scrap
• Blending product by following specific instructions
• Completes requires paperwork during and at end of shift
• Interaction with tractor trailer drivers   
• Conduct periodic and scheduled maintenance (hoses, oils, tools)
• Monitors inventory
• Perform snow removal around plant and railcars (as needed)
• Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize priorities
• Strong mechanical aptitude 
• Must be able to work well with others and follow directions
• Must maintain poise under pressure
• Must have basic math comprehension and problem solving skills
• Must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to be trained to successfully operate automated control systems 
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively on work orders and safety improvement recommendations (reading and witting).
• Ability to lift 50 pounds routinely throughout the work day
• Ability to troubleshoot system performance related issues to solve basic problems and find a safe effective solution

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

• Physical ability to safely operator motorized vehicles (tow motor, forklift. railcar mover) 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Regularly works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, and often works near moving mechanical parts, motorized equipment and vehicles (tow motors) 
• Required to work on outside areas, exposed to different weather elements like extreme heat or cold depending on the season
• Routinely exposed to airborne particulates, dust and caustic chemicals/raw materials
