Maintenance Supervisor-Satellite Plants

Job Summary

POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor

LOCATION: Lompoc, CA

JOB  SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance work to ensure it is completed in the highest quality, and in a safe and most efficient manner

 KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
• Develop a weekly schedule and assist the maintenance first-line maintenance foreman or supervisor in determining job priorities.
• Ensure that the CMMS software data files are complete and current.
• Assist with the storeroom and purchasing functions.
• Identify, analyze, and review equipment maintenance problems with maintenance engineering.
• Assist in educating operations or facility personnel in maintenance management.
• Ensure that the CMMS software data files are complete and current.
• Conduct vibration analysis and interpret results.
• Conduct shaft and component balancing on equipment.
• Conduct thermography tests on rotating and non-rotating equipment and interpret results.
• Write technical reports highlighting results, recommendations, justifications, and consequences.
• Conduct necessary testing on new equipment installations.
• Work with other departments and engineering to assist in evaluating equipment.
• Function as a team player on mechanical and cross-functional teams and to provide resources for other teams.
• Working with vendors and OEM’s to insure use of equipment specifications is met.                                     

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 - 5  years mechanical engineering in a heavy industrial production environment

Familiarity with Mapcon system (is a plus )or CMMS
