The Position

Inventory Coordinator

Job Summary

Purpose: To maintain high level of finished product inventory accuracy and integrity at warehouses.

Duties& Responsibilities: · Maximize storage space utilization for finished product storage. · Maintain finished product identification and location program. · Monitor finished product inventory levels and product movement to storage/shipment. · Document and control aged and damaged product. Ensure FIFO is establish with all on-hand inventory. Ensure all aged inventory is dealt with promptly. Establish rework plans with production on any damaged/ unsaleable materials · Oversee physical inventories, cycle counts, and random or receipt audits/reconciliations. · Research inventory discrepancies for necessary corrections. · Monitor labeling requirements based on customer specifications. · Resolve inventory issues in timely manner. · Inspect and maintain warehouses and equipment . Enter work orders for repairs. Maintain supply and storage of packaging materials (bags/pallets). · Prepare reports as requested by demand planning or others. Work with production to ensure Plant Data information is accurate daily. · Track and maintain working capital with Finance · Actively participate in a safe working environment in support of Quality and EHS initiatives including reaching and maintaining the company goals/KPIs. · Ensure safety compliance with IMERYS Safety Policy Manual. Maintain housekeeping in work area; complete/document work area safety inspection. Wears appropriate personal safety protection, follows prescribed safety guidelines, and maintains clean and safe work areas. · Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Education: Able to read, write, and do basic math at high school or equivalent level Experience - (Preferred Background): Three to five years relevant work experience. Previous work in packaging and shipping operation or warehousing is preferred.

SkillsRequirement: Able to understand written and verbal instructions and listen attentively; clearly describe conditions orally or in writing (English); provide leadership and gain cooperation; understand,; analyze and resolve issues; good mechanical aptitude resulting in the ability to set-up, manipulate and tend equipment and/or machinery; operate motorized vehicles; computer skills; have a valid driver's license; forklift certification. Possess good interpersonal skills at the individual and group level.

Required Activities: The coordinator will constantly be required to stand, walk, and handle objects. Some climbing maybe required.

This position is often performed in an ever-changing environment (warehouse/shipping environment) and must be able to adapt quickly as a result. The majority of the time the work pace is moderate. Occasionally some lifting takes place, up to 50 lbs. Good balance may be required due to slippery conditions in packing and shipping areas. Constant communication with management is also required.
