In the framework of the Group Continuous Improvement program, called I-Cube, the senior process engineer provides technical expertise in Process Engineering (Génie des Procédés) in order to ensure a high standard of process performance throughout the Imerys plants.
He/she is also in charge of leading Process projects at Group level taking benefit of his/her general Process knowledge.
He/she is responsible to develop the mineral process know-how by providing coaching & trainings, as well as support networking within a decentralized Group.
He/she is involved in a Process community facilitation, for instance by transferring Good Practices from one BA to another one.
Scope: Imerys Worldwide, requiring travelling around 50% of the time or in virtual mode thanks to new remote systems.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process engineering support
Bring his/her expertise in Process engineering in order to help improving the process performance in Imerys:
By supporting I-Cube assessments (diagnosis/audits), identify areas of improvement across various Imerys plants and help them buiding/implementing improvement action plans.
By supporting plants on specific requests.
By helping the teams to find ideas to upgrade existing process and define new ones.
Process improvement will focus on mass balance, flow sheet optimization, equipment performance, etc . Productivity improvements will focus on debottlenecking, yield improvements, operating efficiency improvements, and product quality improvements.
All the technical solutions have to be evaluated by the team considering CAPEX and OPEX.
Leads specific projects at Group level on generic subjects
Identify the sites that have common issues
Gather good practices from the sites and share them in order to improve overall performance
Collect inputs from external companies like suppliers, consulting companies… to feed the reflection and generate new ideas of optimization
Manage the project thanks to project management methodologies
Communicate on project deliverables and be sure the BAs have taken into consideration the outputs of the projects.
Provide internal trainings to the Process engineers population across Imerys plants
Provide “standard” trainings modules (sampling, mass balance, …)
Design specific training modules to answer specific plants/Divisions requests
Facilitate the process engineers’ community
Promote networking within the Group by encouraging sharing information and good practices, through events, webinars, e-community management, etc.
OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS
What other functions are performed in this position that might not be considered essential?
Graduated from an engineering school
10 years’ experience in physical process including expertise in:
General process techniques ( mass balance, sampling, process master, etc )
Knowledge on specific process (for instance Grinding, wet separation, dry separation…)
Scientific / analytical training; at ease with data; Six sigma training a +
Able to understand the specificity of industrial minerals industry
Wide experience in ore treatment and physical separation technologies
Knowledge in material balance, simulation softwares regarding beneficiation process of ore
Fluent English compulsory, any other language skills appreciated
Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics (Identify skills/attributes required for this position which may include leadership, problem solving, interpersonal, communications, planning, team participation skills, and/or language requirements.)
