The North America Land Manager will be responsible for all aspects of lands management including real property, mineral deeds, agreements and leases. This role will be part of the North America Mining & Resource Planning Team.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the process of maintaining land assets, acquiring permits, authorizations and agreements for business line operations as required by local issuing authorities or the government.
Lead land system strategy for safe record keeping, compliance and continuity including the Land Information System (LIS)
Develop relationships with operational leaders, communicate and train when necessary developed practice and procedures.
Establish process and procedure with regional and local land advocates
Provide necessary inputs to the strategic land planning and total facility budget process for the operations.
Monitor and liaise environmental compliance for the operations with responsible parties.
Coordinate and management of property acquisition and divestment
Monitor and manage land agreements, leases and contractual requirements
Develop and maintain good working relationships with regulators, neighbors and local groups as necessary
Support evaluation of mineral properties, acquisitions, and mine development options.
Support permitting, environmental and reclamation activities.
Manage claim and lease requirements as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
BS Degree - preferably in technical or Geo-sciences field
5 + years managing lands, preferably in mining application
3 + years supporting a mining operation
Demonstrated high proficiency of MS Access and MS Excel or google equivalent
Good knowledge of GIS, proficiency is a plus
Conducted one’s self as a champion for change and demonstrated success in supporting a continuous improvement culture with positive outlook
Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and facilitate work through peers, superiors, and subordinates
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with different timelines
Proficient and effective verbal and written communication skills
Travel to sites in US & Mexico-Required
