Reporting to the Sales Director, your role will involve selling a variety of mineral solutions into the following markets in Germany, Switzerland and the BENELUX:
Spill oil absorbents (moler)
Filtration (diatomite & perlite) in various markets (Food & Beverage, Chemicals, industrials, Automotive, Pharmaceutical…)
Drive profitable sales growth based on understanding of customer needs, competitive situation and value proposition
Define and execute commercial strategy / action plan for each customer (distribution and direct) in collaboration with sales director as well as marketing and technical support functions (incl. proposal for budget, commercial conditions, action plan to increase profitability,…)
Negotiate price increase / share increase / commercial package depending on agreed strategy as well as associated terms and conditions
Visit customers regularly and prepare in CRM detailed sales visits / call reports as well as monthly reports analyzing performance vs. plan
Handle significant complaints in terms of customer relationship and monitor customer satisfaction
Ensure on-time cash collection
Actively collect and document in CRM marketing intelligence about customer including mineral consumptions, performance requirement, competitors’ products and their performance / price, opportunity pipeline, development projects as well as market trends (from a geographic or market standpoint)
Generate ideas of new products to feed the innovation pipeline
Prepare and achieve budget and forecasts for operation planning and finance purposes
P&L accountability: sales to gross margin and accounts receivables
Year-on-Year profit growth depending on market conditions
Imerys’ long-term customer relationships: direct customers & distributors

Strong customer sense

Appetite for buisness development and hunting
Good understanding of basic financial and legal concepts
Outgoing, result oriented, concern for impact, good interpersonal skills
IT: Office, Google Suite, SalesForce.
Ideal background/ experience
Technical / Business degree
Knowledge about minerals, Filtration, chemicals, food & bev welcome
5+ or more years of experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development, dsitributors management.
Speak fluently German and English. French is welcome.
