The Position

Industrial Controlling Director

Job Summary

Location: Roswell, GA

As the Industrial Controlling Director, you will be the Business Partners to the VP Industrial Directors and their teams to support the decision making process related to operations challenges. You will develop and implement operational and financial controls to achieve business objectives.


Business partnering activities:

  • Analyze Hub costs and identify risks and opportunities to improve performance

  • Production volumes, energy consumption,

  • Supplier costs, Logistics costs, raw materials prices…

  • Assist in streamlining business processes at sites level to achieve business goal

  • Perform Financial analysis and prepare recommendation on optimization of asset footprint 

Controlling Activities:

  • Manage and direct the annual budget process and forecasting preparation   

  • Lead and manage the monthly reporting for operations at BA Level

  • Responsible for performance analysis based on operations reporting: CAPEX/OPEX, iCube & purchasing savings 

  • Review and control the capital expenditure requests 

  • Control financial impact of mining plan (Reserves & Overburden assets, Depletion, UoP) and coordinate with Operations CoE (dismantling / rehabilitation provisions)

  • Responsible for standard cost set-up and follow-up

  • Monitor and propose performance improvement on Inventory and Accounts Payables

Coordinate, train and develop a team of hub controllers (specific to Performance Minerals)

  • Lead high performance team through appropriate management rituals and attracts, develops and retains team members in his/ her perimeter 


  • Provide accurate, timely and appropriate data to support the effective monitoring of the Industrial  activities

  • Ensure compliance of business operations with company policies and best practices.

  • Deliver insightful information on a consistent and standardized basis to enhance management decision making

Background and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. MBA and or CPA is preferred

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience with financial/accounting experience is preferred.

  • Previous experience working within the mining industry preferred and in a complex and dynamic

Strong Communication skills – written and verbal

Excellent presentation skills

Highly organized with prioritization skills

Knowledge of SAP, Magnitude and Excel/Google sheet skills (advanced) 

Leadership skills, ability to influence and lead a team of hub controllers
