The Position

S&OP Demand Planning Manager

Job Summary

OBJECTIVE: The S&OP and Demand Planning Manager aligns all entities of the organization (Sales, Business Development, Operations, Finance, Logistics) in order to ensure the delivery of mid to long term business objectives and increase customer satisfaction. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the S&OP Process for minerals in key markets:

    • Demand Review

    • Supply Review

    • Reconciliation 

    • Executive S&OP

  • Lead alignment of the Supply Chain between industrial assets (operations) and customers needs (sales)

  • Ensures data generated by functional stakeholders is suitable for the trans-mineral S&OP process. Initiates improvement actions if necessary.

  • Lead monthly reconciliation (Director & VP levels) and executive (VPs & SVP levels) meetings.  Driving the decision making process for the key assets of the business area.

  • Identify and remove Supply Chain bottlenecks over the next 18 months. 

  • Analyze supply and demand issues in key assets. Prepares all data, metrics and scenarios to be discussed during the S&OP Process and the day to day operational planning.

  • Review and monitor critical Supply Chain KPIs to evaluate the health of the business such as 

    • OTIF

    • Production Plan Attainment

    • Inventory of Finished Goods 

    • Backlog

    • Forecast Accuracy

  • Develop standard tools & processes across business areas, finding benchmarks and synergies to embrace performance excellence and customer satisfaction.

  • Close collaboration with 

    • Product Management - align the tactical day-to-day plans with business strategy in order to maximize profitability of the business. 

    • Operations & Industrial Support - align demand with production planning  

    • Sales - Sales Forecast 

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain related field

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in demand planning
