The Position

Industrial Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:  

Based at our manufacturing plant in Jacksonville, Alabama, the Continuous Improvement Manager will lead cross-functional teams to define and execute industrial / supply chain I-Cube / continuous improvement programs to improve HTS Americas cost competitiveness and efficiency of processes, practices and organizations. 

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads  I-Cube / Continuous Improvement program deployment across the Hub industrial and supply chain operations by supporting the 2 legs of I3- improving working conditions with MUST HAVES and generating margin improvement

  • Cultivates and promotes a strong continuous improvement culture across sites

  • Supports analysis of processes and practices to enable safety / efficiency / quality continuous improvement initiative generation, also with the support of Imerys Center of Excellence and other BA Center of Excellence

  • Generates detailed continuous improvement initiatives across the sites  to generate savings with the cooperation of “I3 champions” and plant managers.

  • Leads effective operational processes’ implementation

  • Provides technical support and expertise to on-site teams for I-Cube deployment and improvement projects

  • Monitors progress of continuous improvement projects and related savings, including process management improvement, process modification, energy optimization

  • Maintains and creates appropriate documentation for reports, project execution, and data analysis

  • Provides Mentorship to Operation Sites & Supply Chain team members to support continuous improvement deployment

  • Captures and communicates learning to enable best practice transfer within the Division

  • Key interfaces: ensures tight coordination with  HTS VP Industrial team, Hub Director, Imerys Center of Excellence, PLant Managers

  • Performance Efficiency (Actual Output / Design Output)

  • Quality Rate (Defects & Rework / Total Work Performed)

  • Failure Rate (Failures / Total Operating Hours)

  • Operational Cost Improvement (Variable & Fixed)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Operations, Engineering, Continuous Improvement

  • Lean six sigma experience

  • Excellent ability to promote new ideas and implement new processes/tools to support profitable business development and customer satisfaction.
