The Position

Engineering Apprentice-5

Job Summary

Imerys Minerals are seeking to recruit engineering apprentices which will include aspects of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, welding and fabrication. As an apprentice you would be working alongside skilled engineers on fixed plant to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize disruption to productivity, carrying out planned and preventative maintenance across multiple sites in Cornwall.

The apprenticeships will be over a 4 year period and will consist of a combination of attendance at College along with work based learning in order to gain practical skills and experience.

Workplace attendance will be in mid cornwall except for one position based at Lee Moor, nr Plympton, Devon.

The working hours will be Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week.

Applicants must have the following:

- 4 GCSEs Grade C or above to include Maths and English.

- Personal interest in working and developing as an engineer in an industrial environment.

- Full driving licence (Or the willingness to obtain one by the end of the apprenticeship)

- Good communication and organisational skills

- Proficiency with information technology

- A team player

- Be punctual and dependable.
