[Key tasks and Responsibilities ]Major responsibilities:
・Responsible for the preparation and execution of the annual sales budget for the assigned applications and customers based in his or her assigned area, namely ; Assigned area - Japan, Taiwan Assigned segments - Engineering Materials (Carbon Brush, Friction, Powder Metallurgies & Hard Metals, etc.), Carbon Additives for Polymers Mobile energy (inc Li-ion) Refractories & Metallurgy Number of direct customers - 18 routine customers which include our distributors Current Opportunities value - 600k€ Other responsibility - Sales liaison of TQC for Japan・Search, develop, collect new businesses, catch and build the market intelligence.・Provide reliable input from own market and contribute shaping the market strategy・Make or bring our engineers for technical discussion with potential customers, agents, distributors, providers, etc.・Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services・Ensure inquiries, quotations and proposals are handled in a timely, professional, and expeditious manner・Support Area Sales Director with negotiation of sales contract terms & conditions ・Support Marketing activities by attending relevant trade shows, conferences, seminars in coordination with Area Sales Director and Communication Manager・Support Application Directors with the analysis of customers’ and market requirements with emphasis on the need for our products/applications to understand, anticipate and meet their needs・Foster, facilitate and engage in the direct contact between Imerys Graphite & Carbon departments (e.g. R&D, Marketing, Production, etc.) and the customers, while maintaining an updated and clear view of our relationship with each customer or potential customer・Facilitate access to all hierarchical levels of our customers, agents, distributors under the Imerys Graphite & Carbon leadership ・Manage the assigned customers database and Key Account Customers ・Prepare monthly sales report・Maintain the level of account receivables for the assigned market segment in line with company targets
Education and Experience requirements
BS or MS preferred
Preferably Engineering in chemistry, materials, chemical processing, physics or equivalent
2 to 5 year experience in selling specialty products or processed minerals (particularly graphite, carbon black, etc.) with demonstrated experience in technical sales.
Alternatively: Proven strong and extensive commercial background with solid experience in selling specialty products (preferably minerals, plastics, polymers) is a must.
Japanese: Mother Tongue
English: Business Level
Willingness to travel in the region up to 50%
