The Position

Sales Manager PRPA South East Asia

Job Summary

Under the management of the Sales & Technical Support Director of PRPA APAC, the SEA sales manager will lead the Sales Team for Imerys PRPA in SEA. The sales manager will promote and support the sales of products within Imerys Group. He/ She will works closely with the PRPA sales team in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam as well as the supporting teams (technical support, business development, finance, supply chain and Industrial). He/ She will be accountable for the Sales processes in SEA (including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sales objectives for Imerys products within the PRPA scope.
  • Manage, mentor and train the sales team across South East Asia & India Subcontinent, in coordination with the Sales & Technical Support Director and regional managers (e.g. HR, marketing, business development, technical support, finance)
  • Plan the short and long term strategy for the sales direction
  • Decision maker for the sales related issue
  • Cover SEA and Indian Subcontinent for Imerys products (GCC, Talc, Kaolin, Perlite, Mica, Diatomite, Wollastonite, PCC), within PRPA scope.
  • Manage agents and distributors where relevant
  • Manage quarry by product sales (lump & chips).
  • Contribute to new product and business development
  • Prepare and follow budget forecast and strategic sales objectives. Propose and implement action plans to achieve objectives.
  • Develop process and frameworks to manage the sales process and increase sales efficiency 
  • Lead and support identification of new opportunities or business process improvements.
  • Support the Business Development team on new project investment and M & A.
  • Develop market intelligence in SEA and Indian continental.

Job Requirement:

  • 10 years of sales and marketing experience within SEA region.
  • Commercial or engineering background, preferably in key markets such as plastics, paints & coating, rubber, adhesive (PRPA) or in the minerals field.
  • Fluent in English and proficiency in other languages are recommended eg. Malay/ Mandarin/Thai/Vietnamese .
  • Excellent negotiation skills and value proposition selling approach
  • Experience in sales team leading.
  • Self-starter and autonomous.
