Imerys is hiring a Distribution/ Channel Account Manager for the building, construction, plastics, rubber, paints and coatings markets. In this role, you will manage our customer base, sales resources, products and channels to achieve planned results for the region. You will also provide leadership and development to distribution sales reps and the distributor channel partners.
Location: Home based
Expected results include but are not limited to growth in profitable sales and market share, channel development as well as developing talent within the region.
In This Role You Will
Develop monthly sales forecasts
Create vertical sales plans for channel partners/region on annual basis
Build trusting relationships with key channel partners, end-customers and internal stake-holders.
Drive Distribution Strategy through-out region
Work with the marketing department on planning and execution of marketing activities throughout the region or market.
Manage Channel to successfully have the correct level of order intake, inventory, and demand for Distribution activities
Define and develop a Distribution Product Training Plan
Develop a strategy on market trends and market share
Execute and manage Commercial Strategies for MSRP & Channel Compensation Scheme
Up to 30% travel
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering from an accredited university required
5 years’ experience in a channel/distribution role in the chemicals, consumer or industrial goods markets
Superior knowledge and demonstrated skills of sales techniques, customer interaction, and customer relations
Analytical thinking capability, leveraging data-driven arguments to make decisions
Customer Orientation; ability to understand, communicate and meet customer needs.
Negotiation skills and expertise; ability to cope with ambiguity, and work through complex problems and manage conflict.
Technical aptitude to understand and position solutions within for all Minerals
Ability to execute and communicate compelling value propositions and strategy.
Ability to manage different maturity levels in the market, and varying business cycles.
Strong knowledge of managing products, product applications and distribution channels
Ability to influence without authority, in a matrix environment.
Professional presence such that the candidate can clearly command in difficult sales situations
Experience in growing sales and market share, and channel development
Responsible for embodying One Imerys Approach, specifically collaboration with others
Drives transformation and continuously drives process improvements in the Sales Management Process
