Brighter whites – the natural way
ImerCare PerlWhite 19 is a perlite-based whitening and gentle polishing agent for toothpastes. Toothpaste containing our ImerCare PerlWhite 19 cleans the surface of the teeth without scratching, minimizing damage to enamel, dentin, root surfaces and gum tissue.
ImerCare PerlWhite 19 has an optimized particle size distribution and unique particle shape. Our innovative, proprietary grinding process enables large particles to be removed and actually modifies particle morphology, transforming three-dimensional particles into two-dimensional, platy particles.
The combination of the natural hardness of the perlite mineral with this patented technology provides unparalleled benefits if you’re looking for gentle polishing and whitening.
Compared to conventional perlite grades available on the market today, our ImerCare PerlWhite 19 offers the ideal balance between effective stain removal (pellicle cleaning ratio) and minimum tooth wear (relative dentin abrasion).
Due to its fine, platy, perlite particles, ImerCare PerlWhite 19 improves cleaning at just a 2% loading. It’s inert and pH neutral, so it doesn’t have an effect on the pH of the toothpaste system and is compatible with other toothpaste ingredients, particularly therapeutic agents such as fluoride.
Clinical tests of our ImerCare PerlWhite 19 have been conducted by the Oral Health Research Institute at Indiana University in the US. The detailed study and its results are available on request.
All our cosmetic products are natural, high quality, chemically inert and offer good skin tolerance. They are not treated with chemicals during processing. These attributes enable them to be used in cosmetic products that comply with cosmetic directive regulation (EC) n° 1223/2009.
ImerCare PerlWhite 19 is also Cosmos certified. Certificates of origin and additional documentation are available upon request.
In the pursuit of healthy white teeth, Imerys has found that toothpaste that combines kaolin and delicately engineered perlite provides highly effective dental care and meets consumers’ preference for natural ingredients.
The mineral perlite is an effective replacement for microbeads in scrubs and shower gels – not only for its exfoliating performance, but for reducing plastic pollution in oceans.
