Our cat litter portfolio is one of the widest and most comprehensive on the market, giving our customers optimal opportunities to lead, particularly for private labels but also with our own proprietary brands, such as Amigo™, Avancat™ and Bento™.

Clumping cat litter

Clumping litters are very popular with end consumers as they make litter box cleaning much easier.

Bentonite is the best mineral for clumping cat litter because of its high absorption capacity, water retention and natural clumping properties – other materials require chemical additives to make them clump.

Bentonite is a naturally occurring clay mineral. When in contact with liquids, bentonite absorbs 3.5 times its own weight, making it a very valuable base for cat litter. Bentonite does not support bacterial life and works as a natural drying agent due to its high absorption capacity, helping the litter box to stay hygienic and odor-free. It is environmentally friendly and inert.

We supply bentonite as a pure, raw material – with or without fragrance and other additives. Our ranges include classic gray, ultra gray (fine), white classic and white ultra grades.

The majority of our bentonite cat litter products are produced at our mine in Milos, Greece – the scale there means we can supply large quantities with very high quality consistency.

We offer bentonite for cat litter in different types of packaging including bulk, big bag and small consumer packaging.

Non-clumping cat litter

Our grades for non-clumping cat litter are derived particularly from moler and zeolite.

Moler

Moler is a natural rock formation that’s found – and mined by Imerys – only on the islands of Fur and Mors in Denmark. It is composed of approximately one-third clay and two-thirds diatomaceous earth. This diatom content gives moler its large specific surface and unique absorption qualities.

Moler is highly suited to use in cat litter due to its ability to absorb animal effluents and reduce odor. Each granule acts like a sponge, absorbing liquids and helping to inhibit bacterial growth. Moler offers double active odor control, meaning the litter tray stays fresh for longer. It is environmentally friendly and inert.

Our range of molers for cat litters are essentially calcined grades, which are characterized by their light weight and pinkish color.

Zeolite

Zeolite is a hydrated crystalline alumino-silicate mineral, formed where volcaniclastic rocks and tuffs react with alkaline groundwater. Zeolite has a high surface area and ion exchange capacity that delivers exceptional performance and odor control when used as cat litter. Clinoptilolite zeolite acts as a molecular sieve, adsorbing ammonia ions, resulting in odor minimisation from animal waste. It is environmentally friendly and inert.

Our zeolite grades are produced from our deposit in Bulgaria. They can be supplied in big bags and end-consumer bags.

Organic products

Our portfolio also includes a selection of organic cat litter solutions based on wood pellets, wood flakes and vegetable fiber. Wood pellets and wood flakes are non-clumping solutions, whereas vegetable fibers are clumping solutions.
