Industrial Automation Engineer
Permanent position with the possibility of flexible working hours.

Key Tasks:

Project Execution:

  • Design, implement, and commission automation systems for new projects within the factory.

  • Develop PLC, SCADA, and HMI programming for automated systems.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during execution.

Revamping Projects:

  • Analyze existing factory processes and identify opportunities for modernization or optimization.

  • Upgrade and retrofit older automation systems with modern technologies to improve efficiency and reliability.

  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure successful integration of new technologies.

Sustainment Support:

  • Provide ongoing technical support to sustain and improve existing automation systems.

  • Perform root cause analysis of automation-related issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure uptime of critical factory systems.

Collaboration and Training:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality departments.

  • Train and mentor factory personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborators or staff from external companies may be temporarily entrusted to him for the implementation of projects.

  • When acting as Project manager, he bears the professional responsibility for the safe and correct execution as well as the final quality and maintainability of the work created.

  • He is responsible for pursuing and sharing the saving and sustainability objectives to which the Company

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in automation within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in interacting and programming with most common languages for PLC (TIA / S7 / LD / AWL / FB), SCADA systems and data analytics solutions.

  • Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP).

  • Familiarity with CAD software for control panel and electrical design.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Some years of experience in the design and/or maintenance of industrial plants.

  • Fluency in Italian, with at least a B1 level in English.
