The Position
Quincy Mine TraineeJob Summary
Quincy bottom crude usage reduction.
Evaluate the impact of reducing bottom crude usage on product quality. The project aims to reduce the usage of bottom crude based on Quincy´s current mix of products and crude. The project will deliver over 1M of savings between mine and plant in 2 years.
Project Learning Objectives:
The trainee will learn about Quincy grades, process controls, quality controls and production KPI´s.
He/She will also learn about the FC and VC concepts and how production parameters and stability impacts on it, will also learn about the impact of different crude qualities on the final product.
Will also learn about the impact of mining plans on product qualities and vice versa.
This is a project with a long term vision, and will become clear to the trainee how today´s mine plan, product mix and production planning affects the life of an entire plant.
Wage: $70,000 - $90,000
Education and/or Experience:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
- Newly graduated from college
- Self starter
- Able to work without constant supervision
- Communicates well
