Job Summary

Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Marble Hill, GA

Job Summary:

The Mechanical maintenance supervisor is responsible for the maintenance and reliability of all fixed plant assets in Marble Hill, GA. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing that all maintenance work is completed in the safest, highest quality, and most efficient manner possible. The maintenance supervisor will also be required to contribute towards continuous improvement of the overall maintenance plan.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the mechanical work force and provides on-site expertise, ensuring the maintenance work is completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Provides expertise to prepare, implement, and revise the Preventive and Predictive maintenance programs.

  • Ensures that maintenance is planned, scheduled, and performed in the most cost-effective manner.

  • Reviews work planning and weekly scheduling with the production supervisors and manager and attends weekly planning meetings.

  • Ensures all parts and tools are provided to craft workers prior to work being performed.

  • Maintains equipment availability to meet production demands.

  • Champions proactive maintenance, encouraging all production and maintenance personnel to turn in found defects to be planned and scheduled using CMMS.

  • Approves emergency works and reschedules planned work as necessary.

  • Ensures all data collected regarding work process and equipment is accurate and complete when being entered into the CMMS.

  • Assists planner in sourcing parts and material as needed as well as scheduling component rebuilds.

  • Interacts with vendors and assists in finding cost effective solutions to material needs.

  • Supports other locations as required.

  • Oversee lubrication and PM maintenance tasks.

  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance plans for all plant equipment, and revise as needed.

  • Identify departmental training needs to support equipment uptime. Develop and/or execute department training plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years supervisory experience, experience with labor unions a plus.

  • Prior experience in mining, quarries, or mineral processing is a plus.

  • Knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes, including preventive/predictive maintenance procedures such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermal analysis, as well as troubleshooting and repair.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, lead, coach, and motivate the workforce.

  • Capable of developing and ensuring compliance to work schedules based on immediate and future needs with available resources.

  • Proven skills in assessing the nature of a situation, identifying options, selecting the best course of action, and implementing the chosen plan.

  • Internal customer focused and proven to be a strong team member.

  • Ability to use financial information in decision making and find ways to reduce cost.

  • Experience in developing and implementing a process driven maintenance plan.
