Talcs increase heat resistance while improving stiffness, impact strength and printability of thermoformed polypropylene packaging. They also increase dimensional stability, reduce thermal expansion, shrinkage, warpage and anisotropy, and improve barrier properties. There are other benefits, too. Talcs can increase thermal conductivity – speeding up cooling and shortening production cycles – while improving the cuttability and printability of the finished product. 

Talcs are another mineral group that can improve rigid packaging. Available to customers outside the US and Canada* talcs are ideal nucleation agents and increase dimensional stability while reducing thermal expansion, shrinkage, warpage and anisotropy.
