The Position

Mining Engineer Internship

Job Summary

Mining Reclamation -  Internship

Location: Johns Creek, GA

Desired Degree:  Mine Engineer / Geologist with proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD / GIS not required, but preferred

 

Our Summer Internship program provides an opportunity to apply the concepts you learned in engineering classes to real world experience, including:

Project Scope:

Review all of the existing reclamation plans from the mine sites located in North America and screen each plan for the most important details. 

 

Project Description/ Deliverables:

 Prepare a one page summary for each site and develop a summary tracking file to link plan requirements to cost to complete.

 

Project Learning Objectives:

Familiarity with a variety of reclamation techniques associated with a wide variety of industrial minerals, insight to cost and standard practices and techniques.
