The Position

Senior Developer & Application Owner (Hybrid)

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Developer & Application Owner covers any topics related to applications lifecycle:

  • Performing study analysis to contribute to the first phases of projects requested by Business related applications.

  • Aims at ensuring that IMERYS end users of Information Technology receive second tier assistance in regards to Software.

  • Can manage Oracle and SQL databases, develop in different languages, and apply correction to internal programs.

  • Participating to application retirement and data archiving project

The Senior Developer & Application Owner has the ability to create and manage interfaces with experienced usage of different ERPs (like SAP, JDE, AX, Sage or IFS) so a good knowledge of API and web services technologies is well mature.
 

The Senior Developer & Application Owner is also responsible for the development of applications efficiently aiming at attaining the business objectives. 

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage applications, collaborate on projects and application management activities

  • Oversee and control applicative roadmaps associated with his/her application(s) scope

  • Manage relationships with external support teams (TPM) when needed

  • Assist in the management of the application budget associated with Project and Application

  • Ensure service performance quality in terms of cost, deadline and quality with his/her application(s) scope

  • Interact with infrastructure teams to ensure the performance of the application portfolio

  • Participate in Application Teams DRP for the application portfolio in conjunction with the respective business stakeholders and IT infrastructure teams.

  • Owner of application role management assignments and changes (updating existing users)

  • Periodic review (quarterly) of accounts status and roles (once per quarter recommended but at least once per six months)

  • Determine and identify high-level functional and technical requirements on the basis of interactions with the user community and knowledge of enterprise architecture.

  • Design architectures, including the software, hardware and communications, to support the total requirements, as well as to provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.

  • Interact with project management to plan project schedules and technical direction. Provide quality assurance review and the evaluation of existing and new software products.

  • Develop high-level system design diagrams for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.

  • Develop and implement moderate to complex web applications on one or more platforms.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • 8 - 10 years of practical experience in projects related applications.

  • Extensive experience as an application owner.

  • Extensive knowledge of software development and its technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of HTML and web frameworks.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Knowledge of ERP environments

  • Fluent or native English speaker

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, C++, .NET platform, PHP, and SQL.

  • Solid experience in coding.

  • Strong knowledge of user interfaces.

  • Good time management skills.
