Job Summary

SUMMARY/SCOPE OF WORK

The world leader in mineral-based specialty solutions for industry, Imerys delivers high value-added, functional solutions to diversified sets of industrial sectors, from processing industries to consumer goods, based in Paris. Imerys has operations in over 40 countries and over 16,000 employees. In particular, it is present in Italy with 7 production sites and trading activities.

In order to support the financial function, Imerys is looking for a Cost and Production Analyst (Industrial Controller).

At a plant level, ensure consistent standard cost calculations and monitoring, provide financial data to support the site Manager / Hub controller and Accounting among the major plants of Imerys in Italy located in Massa e Carrara, Domodossola and Avezzano

Main responsibilities:

Calculate and update standard costs

Responsible for fixed assets & Physical stock reconciliation with ERP

Update actual unit costs in ERP for inventory valuation

Perform plant production and inventory monthly reconciliation

Oversee accounting ledgers and correct cost centers/ accounts

Determine accruals to be booked in ERP

Extract data from ERP, fill energy tabs, mine & inventory information 

Review Monthly plant and mine cost  reports with site manager

Provide financial data (standard costs, production costs, etc) and ad hoc invoice information, quantity produced when required)

Invoices receptions control & balance in ERP

Design formalize internal control procedure for stock (general ledger….)

Accountable for consistency of plants standards cost

OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS

The ideal candidate possesses the following requirements:

- Understand industrial processes and costing principles

- Deep knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS), practices, standards, laws and regulations, tax computations

- Ability to handle complex financial information 

- Ability to create a  strong bonds with other people, inspires trust and confidence in both his peers, senior, and external partners

- Demonstrate good communication skills to convey information 

- Have a keen eye for details, ability to manage multi tasks / project and meet tight deadlines, is analytical and highly organized 

- Work comfortably in a highly collaborative setting, have a confident and outgoing personality, 

- Proficient in English

- Proficient in  financial software as SAP 3R, SAP 4Hana is a plus, Office and Google suite package

Ideal background/ experience:

2-3 years of work experience as a Cost Analyst, Cost Accountant, controller in industrial context.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting is the minimum requested but profile who also has earned a master’s degree in accounting / finance are preferred
