The Position

IT Project Manager

On March 28, 2024, Imerys Group (www.imerys.com) published a press release announcing it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Flacks Group  for the contemplated divestment of its assets producing kaolin, ground calcium carbonate (“GCC”), precipitated calcium carbonate (“PCC”), and talc, which primarily serve the paper markets in North Americas, South America, Asia and Europe.

The future company formed by all these industrial sites, kaolin mine, port and logistic hubs is foreseen to start its operation under a new brand in the course of 2024. It will offer mineral solutions for industries worldwide. Currently serving mostly the paper and board markets , the new company will use its global footprint, unique assets and longstanding know-how to develop new business opportunities and foster innovation. Sustainability is a core value of this company.

With an annual revenue of around 350 million euros in 2023, this activity will employ about 1000 employees. The Company needs to reinforce the existing teams to operate as a standalone organization but also to meet its ambitious development plans.

Role overview:

  • Responsible for the integration and maintenance of applications or software.
  • Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Works closely with the users assisting in the formulation and definition of system scope, objectives, business requirements, use cases, and business rules based on client needs.
  • Works closely with cross departmental resources to establish best practices, project priorities and maintain governance of system.
  • Monitors progress of projects and allocates resources as necessary to insure successful completion utilizing best use of resources.
  • Providing training and support for end-users
  • Project management
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Develop a project plan for implementations
  • Accurately estimate a variety of project tasks
  • Identify resource requirements and assign consultants to project
  • Monitor performance of project tasks
  • Access and manage risks
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time
  • Anticipate issues or conditions that may impact the original estimate or project budget
  • Review and compile consultant reports and expenses
  • Prepare Project Activity reports in a timely manner

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields
  • Experience a minimum of 5 years’
  • ERP implementation experience preferably SAP or MS Dynamics
