The Position

On March 28, 2024, Imerys Group (www.imerys.com) published a press release announcing it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Flacks Group for the contemplated divestment of its assets producing kaolin, ground calcium carbonate (“GCC”), precipitated calcium carbonate (“PCC”), and talc, which primarily serve the paper markets in North Americas, South America, Asia and Europe.

The future company formed by all these industrial sites, kaolin mine, port and logistic hubs is foreseen to start its operation under a new brand in the course of 2024. It will offer mineral solutions for industries worldwide. Currently serving mostly the paper and board markets , the new company will use its global footprint, unique assets and longstanding know-how to develop new business opportunities and foster innovation. Sustainability is a core value of this company.

With an annual revenue of around 350 million euros in 2023, this activity will employ about 1000 employees. The Company needs to reinforce the existing teams to operate as a standalone organization but also to meet its ambitious development plans.

Role overview:

The Berg Communications Senior Analyst to Capim Hub, in Brazil, will develop and structure the communications plan to the kaolin Hub, in Barcarena and Ipixuna, Pará, Brazil, considering internal and external communications.
This is one hybrid position, demanding travels to Barcarena 3 days in the week and 2 days in home office. Monthly travels to Ipixuna mine might be needed according with the activities.
This communications professional will drive proactive communications strategy fully aligned with Berg business goals. Also, this role will regionalize and activate communications programs and campaigns ensuring full alignment with Capim Hub Operations Director and Berg Communications Manager.
Reports to Berg Management Communications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

To develop and structure internal and external communications yearly action plan and KPIs, considering internal communications and external communications.
Following up of all activities and good personal skills to support team work with all local departments and support employees engagement
Understanding of all the business stakeholders offering the best approach to each of them
Good public speaking skill to support campaigns and events
To write press releases
Develop and coodinate newsletters, campaigns, events and trade shows
Developing of local content to the intranet, LinkedIN and website, supporting employees to use this tools fostering employee advocacy
Support to communicate to employees Human Resources campaigns, procedures and events
Support to communicate to all employeees EHS campaigns and procedures
Creation of folders, adds, designer and presentations to campaigns

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor in Communications, Publicity or Jounalism or related areas
5-6 years experience in Corporate Communications or Communications Agencies (working with industry or mining)
English is desirable at least in intermediary mode
Ability to work with Photoshop, Adobe or other related software to create arts.
Google Drive and tools

The good candidate has a strong interpersonal skills, great speaking and writting in Portuguese and a curious mindset to offer innovative solutions
Enjoys to be with people, writte articles and great storytelling skill
Hability to coordinate newsletters, campaings, events and trade shows together with external providers
Fast pace to work with many projects delivering good results and continous improvement
Availability to travel to Barcarena and Ipixuna.
Ability to work with Photoshop, Adobe or other related software to create arts for the intranet, website and campaigns
To develop monthly and yearly result reports and budget management
