Effective natural filtration aids for sweeteners

We offer a range of diatomite and perlite grades for filtering sweeteners such as glucose fructose syrup, isoglucose and maltose.

Glucose fructose syrup is one of several products, together with glucose, dextrose and maltose, derived from the wet milling of various starch sources such as wheat, maize and barley. The starch is converted into a desired end product via a series of steps including liquefaction and hydrolysis. The syrup can then be further processed to decolour and concentrate it.

We offer food and beverage manufacturers a range of diatomite and perlite filter aids for filtering glucose fructose syrup and its derivatives at various stages in the manufacturing process, on both rotary drum vacuum or plate pressure filters.

Our high-quality diatomite and perlite grades offer:

  • The right balance of permeability and clarity
  • High flow rates
  • Low solids penetration

All our filtration products are FCC approved. Imerys meets all regulatory requirements, for further information please contact our team.
