ImerCare® SandyScrub
An effective alternative to plant-based exfoliation agents at low incorporation rates
ImerCare SandyScrub is a natural perlite exfoliant which has been specifically designed to replace plant-based exfoliating agents used in industrial and commercial hand scrubs.
This Cosmos-approved perlite grade has been engineered to achieve a specific spherical shape which provides gentle exfoliation in hand scrubs. It is ideal for use in both hand washes and gels.
ImerCare SandyScrub offers similar abrasivity to other commonly used plant-based exfoliation agents such as ground walnuts and cornmeal but at incorporation rates as low as 6%, whilst preserving the texture and sensorial properties of the finished hand wash or gel.
Derived from natural volcanic rock sourced from Imerys’ wholly owned perlite deposit in Dikli, Turkey, ImerCare SandyScrub offers you the added benefit of a supply chain which is both secure and sustainable.

All our cosmetic products are natural, high quality, chemically inert and offer good skin tolerance. They are not treated with chemicals during processing. These attributes enable them to be used in cosmetic products that comply with cosmetic directive regulation (EC) n° 1223/2009.
