The Position

Internal Sales Manager - Paints & Coatings

Job Summary

Manage Sales of small and mid sized customer for Imerys (6m€ sales), for the Paints & Coatings market in North-west Europe (UK, France, BNL, DACH)

Key responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets as defined by the business

  • Develop customer relationships through increased interactions via phone and digital communications

  • Periodic face-to-face meetings

  • Manage commercial terms, contracts and price negotiations with customers

  • Prepare monthly reports and visit reports and capture Market Intelligence in CRM

  • Prepare accurate forecasts and budget

  • Give sales presentations to clients and prospects.

  • Coordinate sales efforts and communicate with technical teams, customer service and marketing.

  • Understand and promote company policy/strategy/program

  • Follow closely customer payments and overdues

  • Follow and report customer claims  

  • Follow  laboratory and industrial tests and promote new products launching   

  • Bring new technical ideas from the market

Accountabilitiy :

  • Revenue  and growth accountability

  • Contact frequency

  • Price negotiation and implementation

  • Claims Management

  • Imerys’ long-term customer relationships

Key competencies

  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills

  • Business acumen and Technical appetite

  • Multi-lingual - Fluent in English & German (Dutch an advantage)

  • Strong communication skills - especially telephonic and digital channels

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong customer sense and strategic understanding

  • Ability to positively influence others w/o direct reporting lines

  • Others: Account management, strategic thinking, result oriented, concern for impact, good interpersonal skills

Ideal background/ experience

  • Technical or Sales related field

  • 5+ or more years of experience in Account Management, Sales

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, experience in B2B commercal agreements is essential.
