The Position

Supply Chain & purchasing analyst

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Assist and support the Purchasing and Supply Chain team’s in the BA Refractory, Abrasives & Construction (RAC) with analysis and reporting

 

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

S&OP

  • Prepare support for team meetings & Quarterly Business Reviews

  • Interact with relevant BA stakeholders (Sales, Business Analysts, local logistics team, Product Managers & Finance) to collect relevant information

  • Maintain and update monthly & quarterly reports 

  • Build automatic extractions from BI tool in order to feed regular analysis like demurrage costs, stocks level @ month end, slow moving inventories, freight costs

  • Analysis of  Markets coming from other Business Areas : preparation of monthly presentation & updates, accountable for delivering monthly Preflash & Actuals data.

  • Assist product managers to understand material cost calculations & evaluating supply routes costs

  • Attends in Ad-hoc projects initiated by Group or BA

 

Purchasing

  • Administrate the Strategic Raw Materials database in coordination with category managers

  • Key contributor in the forecast & budget process 

  • Ensure that all source of data are consistent by building a solid collaboration with Finance & Controlling team

  • Calculate quarterly & yearly savings per category / initiatives 

  • Build relevant dashboards and keep them updated

  • Assist the category managers in their analysis needs: prices follow up, negotiations preparation, volumes tracking, purchasing optimizations

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience requirements

  • Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting

  • Analytical mind with business acumen

  • Problem-solving aptitude

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Be organized

  • Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP, BI tools (SAC, QlikView) & CRM (Salesforce)

 

Profile

  • 1-3 years of experience 

  • Background Finance (Controlling), Analyst, Engineer, Statistics, Audit

  • Fluent english knowledge
