Tailored thermal & electrical insulation through material expertise

Chemistry and morphology both affect electrical and thermal properties, and through specific processing needs that customers have can meet the needs of a variety of applications, from ceramic micro-circuits or substrates for electronic components to high voltage relays and automotive spark plugs.

Our raw materials are designed specifically for these applications and are mainly supplied from our plants in China, Germany and the USA. They come fused and crushed as well as in calcined powder form, some being made through a chemical process. Our natural minerals are also supplied into electrical isolation applications. 

Due to our various processes we can cover a wide range of particle sizes from submicronic level (for zirconia) to hundreds of μm (for alumina and silica), also able to address their shapes, such as for spherical morphology for silica. Our TECO-SIL® and TECO-SPHERE® products feature an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, consistent chemistry and carefully controlled particle size distribution. Our Calcined Alumina EVTs feature an overall high product consistency including carefully controlled particle size distributions and soda content.
